The
pleasant,
semi-rural
view
from
the

crossing
Blacon
Hall
Road
near
its
junction
with
Saughall
Road.
Beyond
lies
the
extensive
and
irreplaceable
green
open
space
known
as
the
Blacon
Meadows,
and
Chester
city
centre
may
be
faintly
seen
in
the
distance.
The

the
approximate
line
of
the
ancient
bank
of
the
River
Dee.
Silting

resulted
in
the
destruction
of
the

of
Chester,
but

the
creation
of

area
of
fertile
farmland,
the
Sealands.
This
section
of
the
Blacon
Meadows,
as
previously
described
during
the
course
of
our
stroll,
is
currently
considered
fair
game
for
obliteration
under

with
commercial
developers.
